Cabin in the Snow

Winter cabin trip proved to start off quite exciting!  So much snow!
It took us 4 hours to get into the cabin!
It had just been plowed 2 weeks prior~
We made it in through all the snow and after an eventful trip back into Heber for dinner, where the deer just kept coming across the road and ran into the truck (no one was hurt!), we had a nice quiet evening~

David went back into Salt Lake to work for part of the day and Willow, Rowan and I had a lazy morning~

It was at least 3 feet of snow that we removed in the night!
Rowan couldn't wait to get outside to dig a cave~

Maggie was in heaven catching snow balls~

The dogs were cracking him up~

The snow brought out some energy in this old girl~
Time to warm up before friends arrive~

People started arriving and they got to work doing more snow removal~

Keeping warm inside~

The next day was sledding and snow cave building fun!

Lots of joy!

Looking cool~

Keeping warm and crafting inside for some of us~
Sharing snacks~
Friends with their babies~
Movies... we watched Mad Max, Dirty Rotten Scoundrels, Galaxy Quest and The Green Mile~
Conversations~
And games...this was the winning moment of Pandemic after we stayed up until 4 in the morning trying to beat it! We even packed the game away a few times and then decided no, we will win! Funny thing is, we decided to play this instead of Risk because we thought it would take too long...
The next day brought lots more snow play~
Sleepy baby~

Rides~

Baby Holder~

Snow chairs~

Snow ball fights~

Sometimes they don't end so well...

I took Adrian around the loop and it was so cold my hands were burning!
Rolling Josh?

I didn't get any pics of the snow cave they dug out...but the kids thought it was pretty cool~

Aww~
