Fehr Lake

Off to the Uinta's with the boys and the fur girls...

A beautiful day for a hike.

 or a swim.

fetching dogs... ( don't worry, he wasn't beating them!)

After some time at Fehr Lake we thought we would hike to Shepard and Hoover Lake.

We had lots of stops along the way to play in water...

 And cross logs...

checking out the patterns left by the bark beetles...

 Lots of insect activity...

 snack time...

 Maggie May...

 Swords!

 Sweet silly boy...

It was about here on our journey that Juniper kept laying down, refusing to walk and putting her body across the trail so that Rowan could not cross...we soon found out why.

Thunder...then the rain came...then hail and the temperature dropped significantly. Probably the only time you will find me nursing with a cover! ;)
It was cold! Rowan was toasty warm on my back in the Tula :)
 Beautiful rainy Uinta meadow...
So after being drenched in freezing rain and hail we head for milkshakes and ice cream cones of course!  While we were at the ice crème shop, Josh went into the restroom...time past...lots of time...we thought he must have been sick from the food...but it turned out he was trapped! The door would turn but not unlock. David had to get the owner who ended up kicking the door in! Josh said it was like being in a prison cell, dirty toilet and sink and being trapped. He was also scared that the door was going to splinter in on him as the guy kicked it in.  He was in there for at least 15 minutes :) It was an adventure!
The joy of eating ice cream...

Until he decided it was a sculpting tool and wanted to make "castles".  Why not?
 Another magical day!
