Urban Wilderness Exploration: Wild Rose Trail and Park

Today our meet up took us to North Salt Lake to the Wild Rose Trail and park.

There were so many butterflies! (Look close ;) )  Rowan wanted to hug them.

We made new friends playing at the park waiting for everyone to arrive.

And then made our way to the top of the mountain...
 Todays hiking group...

 Running to the top!

 Time for a snack...

 Rock throwing...

The Great Salt Lake off in the distance.  If you look close you can see one of the hawks that was flying around us.  Rowan wanted to hug them too.  He kept calling to them saying "peacock!"

Trying to get a group shot...they are all just way too adorable!

He said he was going to hide in the sage :)

Down the mountain to meet up with more friends and have a picnic and play at the park!

Such fun! Willow off to her sleepover and Rowan down for a nap. It has been a productive day.
