Ten

Happy Happy number 10 to our sweet Willow!

Opened some presents at the break of dawn...

A very big surprise from Mom...an elephant that she wanted me to make with her about a year ago...I told her as soon as we were back from Mexico we would make it...then I went in the hospital...then Rowan came early...spent the summer in the NICU...Rowan came home..and on and on...so I made it in secret the other day :)  She is in love...

And so is Rowan...He let out a belly laugh when she took him out of the bag...guess I will have to make him one too :)

Then it was off to get her ears pierced...
 She was sooo nervous...
 But she was a trooper!
Then, off to see Warm Bodies at the Megaplex.  Such a great movie! She loved it!

Home to ice 30 cupcakes for her two theater classes....
Then after theater off to Texas Roadhouse for dinner...Rowan and I ate in the car...it was just waaaayyy to loud for him.  He was so over stimulated, poor guy.  So we got my food to go and David brought it out to me.
It was a great day celebrating double digits! We love you so much miss Willow! Happy Happy Birthday our February caboose!

Wild Winter Wednesday at the Zoo

We went to the zoo in the cold February snow with our homeschool friends...
It was Willow's last day to be 9...
She and Eli had a blast being photographers... I just kept looking at her thinking she was growing oh so fast.  Something about turning double digits....
Rowan loved his first trip to see the animals.  He stayed cozy warm in the ergo.

He even rode the carousel...the elephant of course.  He was all smiles!

The sun was out and kept us warm....
We will be back soon!

For the Love of a Scooter

Rowan absolutely loves Mara's scooter.  He expects her to let him "drive" it every night when she comes in before he goes to sleep.
 Absolute pure joy!

Oh how we love this little man!

Kids Club Nap Time :)

We went swimming with our homeschool friends....

We got their early and practically had the place to ourselves...

Then Rowan fell asleep in my arms for about an hour in the pool!

Having so much fun with this sweet little man!

8 Months!

Mr. Rowan is 8 months old today! I guess he is 5.5 months adjusted but he really is doing most things that an 8 month old "should" be doing and we don't even look at him as a preemie anymore (of course his lungs are still preemie lungs but really it is no different than Josh's asthmatic lungs that he had as a baby) ..Time is going by way too fast.  He is 15.5 lbs and 27.5 inches long of crazy energy.  We are teething, big time, and grabbing food off of plates and out of our hands.  He has sampled avocado and sucked on a cucumber slice.  It is time for food sampling to begin I guess... We do baby led weaning...or child led weaning was what it was called back in the "olden days" ;)  I swear, I would have never known that I was a "radical" unschooler, and not just an unschooler, a lactivist, an intactivist, a BLW (baby led weaning) a clothdiaperist, a wearist ( I wear my babies in slings) a lifer (referring to the things we have done with our kids since birth)...if I would not have had Rowan...this "new" baby world is kind of crazy in my opinion.  Who needs labels anyway right?
This month has been so busy! Rowan went swimming for the first time and loved it.

He practiced his orthodontic skills on Gam Gam...

He helped Willow with her projects...
ok, ok I know so totally dangerous to have baby seats on a table with a baby sitting in them...for the all of 5 minutes he sits in them. Don't worry, I didn't leave him unattended.  He is just so freaking cute. Here, he was "helping" Willow make a plethora of Valentine cards to hand out.
I love this little man so much...we have way too much fun together...
Laughing at "Da" with the camera...
He has such personality and makes the best faces!  He grabs everything with lightning fast moves. He loves bath time, walks, being in the ergo, going new places but he is still not so fond of the car, music..oh how he loves music, his siblings are the most amazing creatures on the planet, his feet to suck on, the dogs...there is so much..
He has a contagious belly laugh and lights up the room when he enters...
Mr. Personality is such a joy...
He is sitting up alone but flops over if he gets too excited...
diapers, diapers and more diapers...I swear it seems like we are going through them faster now than when he was a newborn...he is also outgrowing them fast. I ordered a bunch of different kinds off of ebay and found that I love the motherease...
Rowan also has the nest dance moves on the planet...Mara says it's the gangam style?  Whatever it is, it is so cute :)
Happy 8 months little man!
