Forest Friends: Sound Mapping

An absolutely gorgeous day to be in the mountains!!
Willow brought along her friend Ethan today and we soon discovered a fallen tree on our path down to the meadow.

So much snow and much more to come!
We got there early so body sledding was in order...
And then a nap in the sun...

For the group activity we did sound mapping.  Everyone chose there own private part of the meadow to sit and listen to all the sounds.

They drew pictures or wrote down the sounds they heard...
And then we came back together to hear about what we all heard.  It was neat to hear all the differences just from being in separate areas of the meadow.

We love Forest School!

So great to be an unschooler...
