14 Months

Mr. Rowan is 14 months old! He is 18 lbs and 30 inches long. He is starting to get hair! I think it is going to be red :)

What is 14 months like?  It is LOUD!  Seriously, this boy can yell.  He is all over the place and I think any day now he is going to just take off running.  He is letting go of furniture and hands and free standing a lot and will walk around holding just one of my fingers. He is all about motorcycles and he makes the most interesting sound to mimic them.  He can hear them coming from miles away.  So cute!  He just squeals with delight when he sees them. Words are forming and everyone once in a while one escapes.  He uses lots of signing these days and really understands everything we say.  We can ask him where things are and he will look for them and point them out.  He especially likes to know what is on his funny but he seems to have a lot of clothing with sharks and fire trucks and he thinks they are amazing.  He has been playing with lots of little ones his own size with all the volunteering I have been doing with the Breastfeeding Café and attending La Leche League for the older nurslings. That has been interesting.
He loves to be outside and he knows his nightly ritual with Daddy is to go out and water the gardens.  Lately, that has included sidewalk chalk on the driveway.  Still loving every minute of summer.  It is hard to believe he was still in the NICU this time last year but we were almost home.  He was not due until the 29th of this month so who knows if he would have been an August baby or a September baby?
Life is so sweet.  He is just a doll and we are so happy he is with us.  In the end, June was his month and that is how it was meant to be.
We love you little man!
