Moab and Arches National Park:June 2009

On our way to Arches! This was our welcoming "arch", an incredible full rainbow!

First stop....Balanced Rock:

Then it was on to Devils Garden Trail......
we saw tons of lizards!
Landscape Arch....
Time to cool off in the water and catch some crawdads.....
oh, and Mara caught a little fish.....
Then Josh was chased by this guy....he was HUGE ...It was cool to watch him run across the water....
Back to camp for some dinner and of course....smores :)
The next Day.....
Willow went to a discovery table and matched skulls, scat and footprints of native wildlife.....
Then we hiked to Delicate Arch:
Look closely for the frogs.....
So AMAZING!!!!!!
Some Petroglyphs on the Delicate arch trail....
Willow became a Junior Ranger :)
Then it was off to a favorite spot of locals for some swimming, cliff jumping and polywog catching.....
Then back to camp to relax, eat and again...have smores....
Unfortunatly, our relaxation was cut short by a huge wind that blew in from nowhere! Suddenly our canopy was taking flight so we jumped up to save it and out chairs blew into the fire and well...melted lol It was scary at the time but we can laugh about it now.
We had such an amazing time! I can't wait to go back and next time we are white water rafting....even it we have to blindfold Mara to get her in the raft!

Looks like you had an awesome trip! How can you not though considering where you went:) Looks like it was a lot warmer than Bryce Canyon, I think the boys wore shorts one day and the last night we were there it was winter coats, hats & gloves.

We loved the hike to Landscape Arch last year, Damek still talks about going back to Devil's Garden.

Wow, what a trip! Great pictures. Terrific quality. Cute pollywogs and very ugly water spider-thingy. uck.

Willow obviously had it easier, as she was carried a lot. Very cute.
What a great trip you had.
