David and I have been married for 18 years today! When did that happen?
We celebrated yesterday since David is in Phoenix this week. So, we did what we love to do.....hike :)
We hiked to Stuart Falls behind Sundance Ski resort. It has been about 2 years since we have been there. The view of Mt Timpanogos is incredible!!
After our hike, we went home to clean up and drop off kids to go out to dinner. We went to The Blue Iguana. It was really good. Afterwards we drove up on the bench to watch the storm roll in. It was pretty cool.
I love you David :) Thank you for my new camera!

Project Wild is going again and is better than ever! Project Wild is an environmental education program for kids and it is tons of fun. I love teaching this program!
For our first meeting last Tuesday, we learned all about fish and aquatic plants. We played a game called Hooks and Ladders where we were Salmon migrating from and back to our spawning grounds. Then we talked about a local fish, the June Sucker, and it migration patterns from Utah Lake to the Provo River. We then picked a fish to draw, or made up our own and pressed or hammered aquatic plants into it. They turned out really great!!
Here are our works of art.......
Willow's.....she hammered the plants
Josh's....he did not want to add real plants to his so he drew them...
Mara's...she pressed plants.....
Mine....I pressed plants too .....
Yesterday we went on a field trip to Young Living Farms and Fountain Green Fish Hatchery. We had such a great day!
The farm grows lavender and other herbs for their line of products. It smelled so wonderful there. We even had a taste of lavender ice cream and lavender lemonade.
We went on a horse drawn wagon tour of the farm and saw all the animals that live there and the medieval jousting area. In June, they have "Lavender Days" and they have jousting and other medieval games. After a picnic on the grounds we headed off to the Fish Hatchery.
Lavender ice cream....
My fish hatchery pictures are all dark because I was using a disposable camera :(
It was great fun! The kids got to feed and even hold some of the fish. The guy doing to tour was so great with them!
Then we went into the "nursery" .....
And then out to the the main area where they go once they have gotten big enough......
It was great and we learned a lot!
