Friday: part 1; Mara's sketches

This was the busiest day ever!!! Here is what we did:

First, Mara took a sketchbook class at Village at 9:30 in the morning! She made the most beautiful sketches and LOVED the class. She is taking another one this Friday, sketching live animals in the "beatrix potter" style. She has carried her sketchbook with her ever since

This was an acivity where they had to reach into a bag of items and draw what they felt. Her's happened to be a toy "rabbit" from Winne the pooh! :

This was drawing with their left hands to give them a feeling of loosely sketching (or if they were left handed, drawing with theri right hand :)) :

This was an activity where they cut out peices from a magaxing in a particular color and make a frame from the cut peices. Then they had to choose something in the room that was that color and sketch it. She chose the stapler :) :

These were 3 minute sketches, where they drew what was directly in front of them:

This was an activity where they made a list of things they had eaten over the last week and drew them
