Last week was a whirlwind of a week. Here is what we did :)

On Monday, we had a goodbye potluck picnic at Tanner Park to say goodbye to all of out Utah friends.....

On Tuesday we had dinner with Grandma and Grandpa and The Schiffbauers....

On Wednesday we loaded the truck. Thank you so much Mike, Kathy, Justin, John, Cody, Lexi and well, of course my kids for all of your hard work! We could not have done it without you! :)

On Thursday we loaded the van, packed the last bit of items that we could cram on the truck and went to bed~!

Friday we were so excited we could hardly breathe. Unfortunately we were given a typical South Salt Lake goodbye. Some "crazed animal" as Josh put it, spray painted graffiti on the side of the moving truck during the night. Luckily it came right off with something that David piked up from Home Depot. The drive was pretty smooth. Only twice did I have to pull over and adjust the bike rack :) We made it into Portland around 8:30 that evening and boy were we glad to be out of the cars! I took tons of pictures along the way but my camera is not cooperating with me and lost them all :(

The townhome is fabulous and I will post pictures soon. We are almost unpacked and settled. Nancy and Neil met us with pizza and cleaning supplies and stocked our fridge and pantry! Nancy scrubbed my kitchen while I tackled the bathrooms. Thank you so much guys! It was a great welcome home :)

Saturday and Sunday were spent slowly unloading the truck, unpacking and settling in. Aspen went to a doll meet on Sunday then met up with her friend Anya. Mara went to her friend Madeleine's voice recital and then we all went to dinner at Chevy's. Aspen went home with Anya for a sleepover. I am so happy she is home and in a place where she has friends.

Today, Willow and I took a walk (well, Willow rode her bike) through the green space park right outside our door. It was so lovely to walk among ferns, roses, hemlocks and blackberry brambles again and to breathe clean air. It was so peaceful. I love where we live. There is a beautiful wooded park with trails and a huge outdoor mall all in the same place! That is what I love about Portland.

David has taken the kids to a homeschool archery class and I am supposed to be getting ready to go take the driver's lic test. I really hate tests. They stress me out.

Anyway, that is the update on us. I will post pictures soon of our new abode.
