Rescue

Today when Aspen went to let Luna in from the backyard, we noticed she was stalking a baby mouse. It looked like it might be hurt so we caught it and made it a temporary house. We will let it go tomorrow. For now, it is interesting to watch. It is eating a drinking well so I am sure it will be fine. Those cats of ours are always bringing us gifts. At least this time we caught it before they killed it!

How sweet:) I remember rescuing a baby mouse once, it drank milk out of my hand and I fed it bread, but made the mistake of putting it in my brothers old hamster cage w/out a lid and I figured it wouldn't be able to climb up the plastic sides and get out. Next morning it was gone, somewhere in our house, much to my parents dismay:)

Funny you should mention that. When we woke up on Sunday morning the mouse was gone! I am just hoping she made it outside before the cats got her ;(
