An Early Father's Day Celebration

Well, OK, not that early since Father's Day is tomorrow but tonight our good friends, Tom, Leslie and Nate Chart invited us to their annual neighborhood Father's Day BBQ. It was so fun! The kids had a blast. There were box car races, a huge bouncy slide, a chicken cooking contest complete with really cool prizes and just a great feeling of community. I loved the cooking contest. Josh got to be one of the "impartial" judges, and the chicken he liked best did win :) The prize was dinner for 6 at Buca Di Beppo's and the traditional 6 pack of Bills beer that is considered the trophy that must sit proudly on display in your home until the next year :) They had loaves of bread from Great harvest for all the runners up and the potluck food was so yummy! I think Willow has turned into a brownie though ;) Leslie was so sweet to cut a rose from her garden for Willow when we left. She really wanted one and they were all so beautiful. We all had a great night!

Big Bouncy Slide :)

Happy Father's Day Daddy!!!

Unfortunately,Willow was Josh's airbag on this ride down ;)

This was Willow most of the night, a total blur from one end of the street to the other :)

Drivers, start your engines! (or release the brake ;))

Wow! Quite the celebration! Looks like they sure know how to throw a party, and fun for the whole family, what a great idea.
